Enrolment

Thank you for taking the time to view our website.

Shenton College Deaf Education Centre is not a stand alone building. We share our physical school site with Shenton College.

In doing so, we are able to offer the significant positive benefits of being a co-located school - a truly inclusive program for Deaf and hard of hearing students that focuses on the growth and development of the whole child. By sharing the physical site, we are able to offer a wider variety of curriculum, facilities, support services and out of school activities giving each student exceptional opportunities to realise their educational potential.

The staff of Shenton College Deaf Education Centre and of Shenton College all strive to provide programs and support that reflect the diverse needs of the individual student. All modes of communication are accepted, with resources being provided to assist where needed. The students have access to a wonderful environment of support, with a cohort of other students who are Deaf and hard of hearing.

Shenton College Deaf Education Centre welcomes enrolment applications from Deaf and hard of hearing children who meet the requisite criteria specified by the School of Special Educational Needs: Sensory.

We are currently accepting enrolments for Year 7 entry in 2018.

From 2019, we will be accepting new enrolments across every year level, coinciding with the new senior school building development on the Shenton College campus.

Please contact us for further information regarding enrolment criteria, and for an enrolment pack.

We welcome visits to our school campus, but please make an appointment so we are able to provide you with the time and attention needed to show you around and talk to you about our programs and support.

We offer a centre of excellence, well-suited to the diverse teaching and learning needs of deaf and hard of hearing children.

Talk to us today about how we can make a difference for your child.
