The Council for Shenton College Deaf Education Centre is structured according to the guidelines set down by the Department of Education.

The Council is made up of:

Staff – teaching and non-teaching representatives
Family members of students
Community members
The role of the council is to approve budget, discuss future directions for the Deaf Education Centre, receive educational feedback about general student-centred issues from staff, provide support to the Deaf Education Centre where appropriate and generally discuss any issues which are relevant to the centre.

It is usual for the Council to convene once a semester, usually in the Boardroom of the Main Administration block of Shenton College. For more information regarding the Council, please contact the Principal, Phillip Parkes.
